Cookie Policy

Effective date: March 14, 2026

// Plain language summary

We use authentication cookies (essential), one project-password cookie (essential), and PostHog analytics cookies. No advertising cookies. No cross-site tracking. You can opt out of analytics and the Service still works.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser by a website you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, remember your preferences, and gather analytics data.

Audiomus uses a minimal set of cookies — only what is necessary to operate the Service and understand how it is used. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

2. Types of Cookies We Use

ESSENTIAL COOKIES: Required for the Service to function. These cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality (authentication, project password protection).

FUNCTIONAL COOKIES: Remember your preferences and settings to improve your experience.

ANALYTICS COOKIES: Help us understand how the product is used so we can improve it. Collected via PostHog. No personally identifiable information is linked to analytics events.

4. Third-Party Cookies

Audiomus uses PostHog for product analytics. PostHog is configured to run from our own domain (no third-party domain cookies). PostHog does not set advertising cookies or sell analytics data.

We do not embed third-party widgets, social media trackers, or advertising networks that would set their own cookies.

5. How to Control Cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies.

Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging in and accessing password-protected projects.

Blocking analytics cookies will prevent PostHog from recording your usage — the Service will still function normally.

To opt out of PostHog analytics specifically, you can use any browser extension that blocks PostHog (e.g., uBlock Origin with the PostHog filter) or contact us at privacy@audiomus.com to be added to the opt-out list.

Browser-specific instructions: Chrome — Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies. Firefox — Settings > Privacy & Security. Safari — Settings > Privacy. Edge — Settings > Cookies and site permissions.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may add or remove cookies as the Service evolves. We will update this page and the effective date when we do.

Material changes (e.g., introducing a new analytics provider) will be communicated to registered users by email.
